Web poker has become world famous recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier declares "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players receive 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you must either make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes immediately to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including a sum on par with the original wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up cash equal to your original bet and fixed expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
