Internet poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you must either make a call wager or accede. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantaneously to the house. After the wager is the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including a figure equal to the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The bank pays out money equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
