Online poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers are given five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must either make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantly to the house. After the wager is the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus a figure in accordance with the original wager. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The house pays chips even with your ante and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
